Honestly, I doubt that has anything to do with the latest crop of newbies. I believe it's an age thing. People who are just now getting into the business were likely still in elementary school when some of us began slinging porn. There's something inherently wrong with that generation of people. They're generally hungry for knowledge but utterly helpless when it comes to obtaining that knowledge. They lack independence and drive hence all of the pants-on-head retarded newbie questions GFY sees every few days (like this one).

I wish you were right, buddy, because my grandparents opened an investment account for me back when I was 9 years old and let me pick the stocks. I chose McDonalds, Nike, and Disney. When given access to the account during the summer after my 4th year in college, MCD had gone from $3ish to $30ish, NKE went from $0.7 to $23, and D went from $1.7 to $38. Shortly thereafter, a friend of mine from college got an entry level finance job at Wit Capital, a company known for making IPOs more accessible to online traders and he was able to get me and a few of our friends in on several them. By the time I got to NYC after spending nearly a year in Europe, I was sitting on a nice chunk of change.
Peter Lynch is an investing legend largely because the fund he ran did 2700% over a 14 year period. I did much much better than 2700% over a similar time frame. Does that mean I should view myself as a better stock investor than Peter Lynch? No. Absolutely not. Why? Because doing so would be completely fucking delusional. I got lucky and I know it. Some of the drivel posted by you and other join date obsessed industry 'vets' makes you look no less delusional than I would have looked if I had started running around and telling everyone that I was some type of stock picking wunderkind bc I outperformed the great Peter Lynch from the ages of 9 to 23. You're just too dumb to realize how dumb you really look. Kind of sad but also kind of funny. Anyway, I guess that's just something I think that maybe you and your bros might want to consider.
