Unlike a simple mathematics problem like 2 + 2 = 4, which is still an abstract concept, evolution is much more abstract and it's something only some people can fully understand.
Sometimes truths are self evident and to anyone who loves and seeks truth and has ample intelligence, evolution just makes sense.
Let me ask you this...
Why is it as the level of education a person acquires (both equated on patience and intelligence) their belief in a religion or deity dwindles to a very small percentage with PhD candidates?
Smart and patient people understand things better than those that aren't.
