I agree with you that if this is true it is horrid, but I disagree that it has no pertinence on his current case.
The way it looks much of his case is going to come down to his credibility. Based on the 911 calls we know how things started between he and Martin and we know how it ended. Unless there are witnesses or evidence that shows otherwise the big question is what happened after he hung up with the 911 dispatcher that led to the fight and the shooting. This means it will basically be his word and whether or not people believe him.
We have already seen he is willing to lie to the court about money in order to make bail and if these allegations pan out they show him as a guy who is capable of some seriously fucked up stuff and a guy who can lie and intimidate people. That could seriously harm his credibility in this case.
If these allegations are true, regardless of how they affect this case, it looks like Zimmerman's legal problems may be far from over.
