There are 2 main problems for chinese adult sites, 1) payment and 2) chinese firewall.
Regarding payment, you can do many alipay accounts but then since would be closed with funds freezed always, you can't count on this for a stable business, is a joke. Some chinese have credit cards, I seen them use visa and mc in our cam site, but best would be to use alipay (even paypal it allows to connect with locan bank accounts so everyone can pay - but paypal does not allow adult again).
Regarding the firewall.. China Great Firewall (GFW) block websites political, sexual , illegal.
Example:

Cam4 firewalled from october 2011:

Lots tube sites also blocked:

If your site is adult AND written in chinese, they ban your IP and domain very quick. For this reason the guy here say he seen site change name abc.com, then abc123.com, then abc345.com and so on - in fact as soon as firewall bans your domain name/ip, you use a new one and email to everyone the new address (or put autoresponder on your email, that give new addresses), but then government ban new one again.
So it is the same issue of payment, must change domain name and IP always, as well as alipay / paypal accounts for payments, this is viable for small hobby/joke sites, but not for a constant and serious business.
Except this, if you run an adult site as a chinese citizen and you're busted.. well someone running cam got 7 years jail, and that's for real, not like in west where theorically you take x years then in reality you be in jail so less.
Said all this - China economy growth is +7% per year, so after 10 years will be quite thge only place where to sell things (given europe is -2% every year, and USA 0% but propaganda say +1%...), by that time it coud be laws will be relaxed about ban adult sites, who knows. Or in 20 years from now... in any case for retirement, when you're old (unless you're paul markham so already old) I advise you sell something to the chinese - to their internal market.
