Your post reminded me of our honeymoon. We went to Vegas and after left to go across land to Monument Valley. Less than 1 hour out of Vegas we pulled over to have a coffee at a Rest Stop. It had a trailer park behind it. The Rest Stop was like out of the 60s and occupied by Viet Veterans. Like a totally different world.
Mind you the village we live in 20 km from Brno, a major city, is very different from the city.
