Take some practice shots before the event...familiarize yourself with the controls on the camera and how it behaves. Until you get comfortable with the camera, I'd suggest shooting in full auto and hope for the best...unless you already know what you're doing with manual settings.

Yeah I don't know shit about this camera.
It's my first DSLR.
I'm just going for the hell of it.
Should be a great time.
I've been before but only had a cheap point and shoot.

One thing I noticed though with RAW is I can't view the pictures on my computer.
Is there software I need to use.
I'm leaning more towards Large or Raw+Large so I can have both.
