I don't know if it's been stated in this thread,but if we were able to edit those statistics by removing the ghetto and inner city crime,the US would be one of the safest places on the planet. In Madison, which is over 1/2m in population there is a handful of shootings annually. And those are in the bad part of the city. In Milwaukee there are a couple of homicides every day. Again, in the bad part of the city. If you look at crime stats for the suburbs of nearly every city and smaller town in America, there is very little crime to report.
