When you buy a membership you only pay to see the content, but have no commercial rights.

So if you get a membership and download the content and use it commercially you will get sued, DMCAd and shut down but if you buy from the content shop you're golden.
Pretty fucked up if you have to explain this to someone who apparently is in this business.
