The same thing Ive said to DJ can be said about you. You were working with them when it all started. Not saying you had anything to do with it. But theres no way you hadnt heard the rumors.
I think we're debating different things.

I'm saying that when I started shooting for them, they were still doing business with all the other companies, still had a good reputation, and the shit had not yet started to hit the fan. I met DJ within 1 - 2 months of starting to shoot for them and at that time, all was still gravy. At least to my knowledge. If rumors were going around at this point, I didn't hear them.

What I'm also saying is, rumors or not, it is IMPOSSIBLE for anyone working for JJ to have any idea what is really going on because none of us sat there with him. He was the king of keeping people in the dark. There was no office, no office chatting, no kicking it with the boys on the weekend. His workers were spread out all over the world, and it defies logic for him to have told any of us what he is really up to. My sole job was shoot content per his specs. At no time did he clue me in to his plans for global domination, and why would he? I have to assume the same applies to everyone who worked remotely. Why risk an entire operation by telling people your plans when they are not people who need to know them?

However, I did later ask him several times about the rumors I was hearing, but he was 100% convincing they were just rumors, and many of them spread by obvious competitors. In fact, he was a LOT more convincing than anyone on any board who has said otherwise. He showed me stats and numbers on multiple occasions. No where did I see anything shady. It all looked like x-sales and join upgrades. If he had some secret back end admin where they were banging cards, he didn't talk about it. That doesn't mean he didn't, but it means I didn't know, and I believe no one working for him knew, if that was going on or not.

See, the thing about guys who are able to grow large companies like that is, they are good at what they do and know how to manage or manipulate people, which in JJ's case was usually the latter. They are also VERY good and convincing you of whatever it is they want you to believe. That is why you work for them and not the other way around.
