Sure, if you don't care about speed then its great. For someone who renders thousands of frames of animation, it makes no sense to have something slower on a renderfarm just because its a little cheaper. Getting work done quicker means the ability to render things better quality, and more of it, which will get new clients and more money. A lot more money than what was saved by buying an inferior CPU.
