Some of them are funny. Some of them are informative. Some of them are in bad taste for just all around wrong, those typically get closed.
I don't see what the big deal is. Could they be annoying for some people? Sure. For others, they are damn entertaining. If I'm crazy busy on a given day, I just don't visit GFY at all.
