Unless your buying the new model (2010+) they are a nightmare to deal with. I wish I could of read the first page of the BMW forums before I made this decision.

Transmissions on these cars are a death trap and run about $5-7k to fix! Mine is almost there and just waiting. Its called the "60,000 mile curse"

For a $100,000 car it sure is a piece of shit. They look cool, but cost a fortune to maintain.

Id look at the Lexus LS 460L. I drove a 2008 and IMO, MUCH better than the 7
