That's it, Michael Phelps is a mutant
The guy is the Wayne Gretzky/Michael Jordan of swimming, no two ways about it. Just watched him win his 21st medal, gold of course, in the 100m butterfly. Commentator says he has a "six-foot-seven-inch wingspan" and he is, like me, 6' 4" tall.
So I took it upon myself to measure my own "wingspan" just to see how this Canadian tundra sloth compares. I've always been known as the guy with the long arms, and sure enough..... my double-arms-length measurement, or "wingspan" as they are calling it, is just over six foot five.
Conclusion: Phelps is a mutant.
