He didn't say anything remotely like "we should spend less on learning about science". I love it when people make the argument that since I mispelled something, I have no right to make an argument...I am a 2 finger typer who doesn't take the time to spell check his posts on an internet forum or worry about proper sentence structure...
The best way to advance technology/math/science is to try to do extreme things beyond what we currently do(like go to mars).......then we use the stuff we learned doing that to do more mundane things...
