Remember as a child they used to say if you tied a piece of string on your finger it would help you remember to do something? Well, the magic underwear is the exact same theory, except they are to remind you to be kind to your fellow man.

So you need to wear two pairs. Or is calling me dumb being kind? As you said try Google.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_underpants nothing there about being kind.
Mormonism is so twisted and separate from what Christians and science teach it's absurd.

The Book of Mormon is a sacred text of the Latter Day Saint movement that adherents believe contains writings of ancient prophets who lived on the American continent from approximately 2200 BC to AD 421.[1][2] It was first published in March 1830 by Joseph Smith as The Book of Mormon: An Account Written by the Hand of Mormon upon Plates Taken from the Plates of Nephi.[3]

Utter fantasy. It's there to appeal to the ego of Americans. America then was a wilderness, populated by rudimentary tribes or Hunter Gather tribes. None were converted to Christianity or Mormonism. No evidence of these prophets has ever been found and never will be found. The only places to go were the centres of power in those times. Not to tribes who wandered around or had a very rudimentary life style.
Or more importantly cultures that were destined to die out.
