Because all other hijackings, the thing lands they have a standoff and then they surrender and so on. First time ever something like this happened, and guess what now fighters are sent up..
Do I believe we know everything and the Gov didn't do other stuff, nope. Sometimes if you see a fire it is good time to take out the trash, lol
