Because he had training of course. And obviously if you're going to attempt the biggest, most sophisticated terrorist attack on the US in history, you don't learn to fly a plane outside the US, before entering the US at the last possible minute. No, you go the US and spend as long as you can in the country, learning to fly right under the noses of the FBI.

The American goverment with the help of 1000's of people (including pilots, random people in planes, their families, traffic controlers, police, military etc etc etc) flew into their own towers and then thanks to the bombs they placed there those towers were brought down? So, you're able to delude yourself that a tiny group of foreign terrorists could do it, armed only with knives, but you think if the Government wanted to do it, it would somehow suddenly require 1000s of people?
Make your mind up, does it require 19 people to carry out a vast, sophisticated attack on the most powerful country on earth, or 1000s?
