If us as people have to balance our own budget, why shouldnt our government? If I spent $1.40 for every $1.00 I earned it wouldnt take but a couple years and I would be bankrupt. Well... our country is not far off, just taking a little longer since they can print money and borrow from China. It was GEORGE W BUSH who took the US from a surplus to a huge deficit thanks mostly to the 2 wars he started Plus Bush tax cuts. (No president in history has ever gone to war and lowered taxes at the same time.
Prez Obama has tried to end the Bush Tax cuts and other things to lower the debt but every move he has ever made has been blocked by the republicans.
It's the republicans who are still today, destroying the US. It is the republicans like Romney & his running mate who lie constantly, about everything. It is Romney and people like Romney responsible for shipping hundreds of thousands of jobs and hundreds of billions of dollars off shore that is killing the US economy.
