Getting a model to work well is about 5 to 20 times harder than getting a camera to work well. Due to each girl having a different character and baggage. A camera has to be learnt once and will never change it's mood. Or time of the month.

This is essential on video, as today video is what people want. A model going through the same old routine she has gone through a dozen times before will not cut it. The director has to get her to deliver more. Or the results will be effected. How he does this can change with each girl because she is different.

Then knowing the niche well enough to direct the models to do what they should. It goes a bit further than this today because of the saturation of all niches, compared to the past. So giving it extra appeal is essential to selling it. For solo teens, glamour, MILF and a few other niches it's the look in the girls eyes that sets a surfers pulse speeding.

Big tits is about tits. Not pussy, same with leg fetish. If you don't know the niche. Don't shoot it. You're up against shooters and surfers who know it well.

Shooting good hardcore can be easier, leave the models to get on with it. Let them form a relationship. It's not a threesome with the camera, it's a couple with a camera observing them. No looking at the camera with the same old dumb look over and over again. No gaping mouth fake orgasm still please. No "Porn Valley" sound bites. All have been done a million times and won't impress. Girls who want to deliver a fake performance, can be paid fake money.

More on how to get there later.
