My husband has a cat that he won't let me get rid of. I've always loved cats, but ever since we met and I came to know his cat, I DESPISE cats. When she moved in, she started to poop all over my clothes, all over the carpet, even on the bed. She even RUINED some of my precious baby blankets and baby clothes herilooms that I was saving. She'd get into the trash cans and drag crap all over the house. She'd jump up on counters and knock dishes off in the middle of the night. Aargh! And my husband won't let me put her stinky ass outside because he's afraid something will happen to her. (Good riddance, I say, but he loves the stupid hairball.) I wish this cat was like 15 years old instead of 9. *sigh* I have a feeling she'll be around alot longer than I would hope.
I've also come to dislike dogs, too, which I once also used to adore. I'm sick and tired of neighbors who let their mutts run loose even though there is a leash law. They get into my trash cans, they dig up my flowers, they poop on my lawn, they growl at me in my OWN yard... If they can't keep them at home, they don't need to have them. Grr.
I wish I could like animals again. I really do. But I'm afraid that boat has set sail for the Bermuda Triangle never to be seen again. *sigh*
Anyway, PLEASE tell me you haven't turned the water on in your bathroom. If you haven't, you MIGHT be able to get a plumber to find the chain in the drain. It sounds like the cat might have been chasing the chain around the counter and swatted it into the sink.
