Turns out, there is some history behind it. In the 1920s before the area had any real sports leagues, and bunch of people formed a basketball team just to play. Eventually they played some other local teams. It was composed of high school kids and young men in their twenties. Their uniform was white t-shirts and black shorts and white socks. Someone commented they looked like Zebras. And that was that.
Everything in my fucking house is fucking zebra print.
