Here's a little tip. When doing backlinks for your EMD, focus a higher percentage on pushing your EMD as a "brand". Google seems to have a hard on for brand strategies recently. Expect it to make a bigger impact in the next updates for Penguin. It makes sense though-people SHOULD be branding their site properties. The old generic link strategies don't make much sense - at least from the end user's perspective.
