Religion. Religion is falling back on the belief of a higher power that may or not be present. It allows many to lay back and think that God or whoever a person worships will make the right things happen for them if they worship hard enough.
The desire to have money, encourages a person to work hard to accumulate it. In essence, the opposite of relying on a higher power.
However, the 2 do go hand in hand. No $, there is no religion.
