Am I wrong to expect a verbal confirmation in 2012?
Two weeks ago I had a no-show. All shoot details were explained via emails - time, concept, wardrobe, etc. The studio was all set up, but the model never showed up, or called. She never offered a number so I couldn't call her to see what was going on, so I was just screwed.
Of course, even if she had given me a number, I could have called and she could have ignored the call, but still, this lack of verbal communication is getting ridiculous nowadays.
Last week I had a model write me multiple paragraphs about how her schedule was too busy to allow her the time to have a phone conversation, but that I was welcome to text her. So, you have the time to type out your thoughts, but a 2 minute conversation is off the table?!
Any thoughts?

Lol. If they won't talk to you, don't hire them. It's their loss not yours.
