You are basically guaranteed dead pixels...
These are the monitors Apple turned down for having dead pixels. Most will have at least 1 in the middle somewhere and then 1 to 5 more somewhere else. I have used a monitor before that had a dead pixel right in the middle. I only noticed it here at GFY! The Mapple picture above my reply would show it to me... Otherwise I never noticed it with a colorful screen or a white screen.
