Not on manufacturing as we were ramping up for a two-front war. The wars in the Middle East were great for the military-industrial complex. The truth is that the Chinese made a deal to get cheap goods on our shelves, we bought the crap at places like Walmart, and they used the money to buy our factories. It is still going on.
