That's odd. I don't recall ever reading that. I can't seem to find anything about it via Google either. In fact, the only reference I can find is about the radar absorbing material on the B2, and how the F35 is a "completely different animal":

They fixed that a while back - It wasn't the plane itself, but rather the air mask.
