To make things intresting we should have 3 on 3 cage matches.
Last man standing for his team wins. All fighting at the same time!
You think this would change the needed ability to adapt to an environment?
I dont think the grapplers or people on the ground would do as well if you change variables to the already artificial fight environment.
A totally new fight style would evolve as dominant. What so many people have labled as "best" before would probably no longer be "best" when simply changing a varaible in this artificial fight environment occur.
