Pretty interesting topic. It's definitely a classic chick and egg problem.
@Jesse What in your opinion makes camgirls stick around? Is it strictly money or are there other factors involved?
If I wanted to start a cam site, I would get and keep girls by first offering them the a fixed rate per-performance plus 100% of whatever they make. Once things got going, I'd just take a reasonable commission.
I'd also work with the performers to improve their performances and produce high-quality content that could be sold on our marketplace. The performers would get the majority of the revenues here as well, encouraging them to produce more content. This could be pretty disruptive if it got traction.
