I will agree, if you are looking for a nice door stop, the iMac is quite handy. I was looking for the best way to get the most out of the $2k I spent on my iMac, that died just out of warranty a year later.
For a long time I left it on my desk next to my PC monitors. I did this so I could see my reflection in the 27 inch screen, and call my self a dick head if I ever though of buying another Apple product. This was quite successful and served it's purpose when I was tempted to buy a new iPhone a few month ago.
I figured now that I had learned my lesson, I could finally move on to a better use for my 27 inch iMac. Sadly I don't have a boat nor a lake to sail it in, so boat anchors are out. I do however, have this pesky door in my office that always wants to close it's self.
With great skill & a healthy DIY attitude, I managed to remove the stand from my 27 inch iMac and create a fully functional iDoorstop. I'm now quite certain that I have managed to get my money's worth from my iMac.
