Like I said before...plane hijackings and blown up airplanes happened a lot in the past.
But only after 9-11 did the federal govt. make this move.
Also, as I said, the TSA has NEVER found any bombs. And they probably never will. It's just an excuse to search people.

I'm really confused. I'm guessing I am a bit older than you, and I honestly don't recall any major changes in airport security. It's always been the same - they x-ray your bags, and you empty out your pockets and go through a medal detector. Every so often they pull people out of line for better search. Oh, now we have to take off our shoes. That's a big change.
I just went to Hawaii in September. I spend more time standing in line to get on the airplane than I did standing in line to pass through security. I'm just not seeing an issue here.
