Anybody know answer offhand... Getting replacement External HD.. how to keep existing drive letter on the new HD ?

Basically if the exsiting drive is drive X and the new drive will be drive Y , once the transfer is done of contents what is simplest way to rearrange the drives to keep the paths the same?

Is windows disk management the best way?
