So the calender maker shows in up front of the Mayan King, and says.
"Hey Boss, we have taken this thing out a few thousand years now. Can we just stop until the actual dates start to catch up to the calender?"
The Mayan King says, "Sure. It doesn't make sense to keep on going with it. We'll have plenty of time later on. Why don't you get started with some nice carvings for my tomb?"
