Addition: Why are schooling trout similar to web cam sites and their schooling niches?
From what I can figure there are three reasons for this phenomenon. All of them have to do with instinctual behaviors that are similar to those the fish they are mimicking fall back on in those man made lakes.
1) Webcam promoters/managers. Like pimps in the real world these are guys/gals/companies that go out and recruit webcam models. Often these recruiters will have large swaths of models under their direction. So on one solution there might be a guy from the Middle East that likes plus sized women. While he might get a few outside of his coveted niche he will usually have 70% to 90% of the same types of girls/guys. So the solution he leases the girls/guys to will have a lot of the same kinds of models.
2) Birds of a feather flock together. When a coed drops out of college because she is collecting $1000+ a week checks she probably knows more coeds willing to do the same. A divorced housewife in the Midwest will have a similar pool of older friends.
3) When a girl out of the blue decides to become a web cam model on her own she might feel out of place in the seedy dive bar of a web cam solution frequented by guys looking for anal, booty and missing teeth-used-up-will-do-anything-for-money bitches... So after looking around she might find a site populated by girls that expressly state they don't do anal, they won't punch themselves in the face, etc... And finds her home on a predominately babe/coed oriented solution.
