No, I said they both made poor decisions, I'm not defending either...they both fucked up. Are you saying that it's ok to not only excessive follow someone who isn't actually doing anything wrong, and then confront them aggressively? You mention it's illegal to beat the shit out of someone (and I never said otherwise), but I'm sure that some type of harrasment charges could have been levied against Zimmerman had the results of the night turned out different. Kids talk shit to each other at school now and get charged with harrasment and "terroristic threats." Zimmerman would be guilty of at least that.
The argument is being made that Zimmerman was standing his ground and that's why Trayvon (since Mar.tin is fucking censored...) ended up shot. The same argument could be made that Trayvon beat the shit out of Zimmerman because he was standing his ground against someone who was stalking and harrasing him on his way home from the store. It works both ways and neither is right.
