The reports also state that the 911 operator told Zimmerman "we don't need you to do that" when Zimmerman said he was out of his truck pursuing Trayvon. Recordings from a Trayvon cell phone call had him on the phone when Zimmerman approached him on foot, defying the instructions that the 911 operator had given him.
As for your claims, Mark, that Zimmerman was looking for trouble, one could speculate that he was overzealous in his pursuit of Trayvon based on recent frustrations with neighborhood encounters:

Again, I'm not taking sides, as I think both were in the wrong. But for anyone to paint Zimmerman as a saint, or not having done anything wrong in this situation is completely ridiculous.
