The key to negating a hangover is to down a glass of water every few hours while drinking throughout the evening, and down one more right before you go to sleep (or pass out as the case may be). Get in that habit, of drinking water in between drinks, and you'll lessen a bad hangover by as much as 80%, and negate a mild hangover alltogether.
I now have just a few drinks from time to time, a glass or two of wine with dinner now and again, and maybe once a year I have enough to actually get good and drunk. But thanks to the water trick my hangover days are done as well.

Nice advice. Hangovers aren't the worst of it, it's my self control while drinking, only way to deal with it is not to drink.
