There are quite a few affiliates who spam big trackers with videos and links somehow attached to them, etc., and they make good money.
Pretty black hat way to go about your business, but it still works... just because it hasn't worked for you or you've not tried it doesn't mean it's "bs". Personally, I got out of the black hat game quite some time ago.. but still have plenty of friends on that side of the fence.
