From what I recall of my primary school science classes; "Nature abhors a vacuum". So, when you remove some thing from a space, something else rushes in. I would guess a lot of people would rush to try to fill Manwins space.
If anyone had the desire to do this, they should practice saying this in their best Barbosa voice; "Arrrrr matey, call me a pirate if you wish, I'll pirate my way to the bank now. Arrrrr..."
