It probably boils down to if they are looking for the source of the investments they received or if they are looking for taxation of their current activities.
For taxation they are most likely just trying to ensure they have copies of all the needed paperwork before letting him back out.
I'm guessing Fabian will celebrate Christmas with his family and friends
