These people who are complaining about the ''form'' of the gesture are dumb.
I don't care if it is self motivated [which its not], your still giving money to those who will need it. Surely there will be depression along with the loss, that tends to lead to time off and inactivity which leads to less income. This will help regardless of the intent.
For that, I thank you.. And lets be honest, its a lot more than anyone else in this thread will give.
