After I ran 4,000 rds through my AR it loosened it up enough to run flawless and averaged a jam every 1000 rds. So just to breaking in that rifle took 5,000 rds. Meaning, the ammo I have stored, basically for 20 rifles to get to their optimal performance. That ain't much.

thanks for clearing that up, after such a well written explanation, I am going to order 100,000 rounds as well, cause you never know when I will need 20 machine guns running at optimal performance, just in case, you know for protection, against my entire country which I am scared of.

you guys argue all you want, you own guns because you are scared of each other, because you are scared of yourselves, and you fuel that fire with more guns and more ammo, you are scared of nuts with guns, so you become nuts with guns, you can't fathom how to beat them, so you join them.

fear is the greatest weapon against the minds of the weak and you live in more fear than any other "free" country. The poor and the weak in third world countries live a richer more fulfilling life than you as they go about their days knowing no matter how tough it gets there is always tomorrow. You nuts all live with the expectation that each day could be the day, the day I need to pull out my AR and it will be me or them, but rest assured someone will end up in a body bag.
We poor uneducated and ignorant Canadians will go about our ways, leaving our homes without body armor, without concealed hand guns, without scanning each and every place we walk into for threat of a showdown. We will sheepishly assume we will make it home safe, and that while we are gone no one showed up to slaughter our family. We will continue to see our neighbors as friends and not as threats, we will continue to attempt to better the lives of our mentally unstable while you simply fill yours full of drugs knowing that if they ever forget their happy pill, they know exactly where mom keeps the AR.
you go ahead and keep laughing while we settle our disputes over a game of road hockey, as you have made it clear that your method has and will continue to produce better results. In the time it took me to write this post, statistics say 2 Americans were shot dead by other Americans. The rest of the world has 22 times the population of the States, and during the same time, statistics say 2 people were shot dead in the rest of the world.
enjoy your fear, and argue all you want, but 5 billion people like me are scratching their heads wondering how you come up with this stuff, and the other billion is laughing at you hoping you all kill each other.
on another note, as you have raised the issue about drunk driving several times in the last few days. (and the nice thing is you don't have to believe me about this, you can plot the numbers yourself), if you graph the rise in Gun deaths versus the decline in all Vehicular deaths including drunk driving, the USA will have more gun related deaths in 2015 than all vehicular deaths including drunk drivers.
I gotta go figure out where I am going to store all this ammo, guess the kids will have to share a room from now on.
