If so, then a gun amnesty / buy back is not impossible at all.

In Australia, gun owners are required to have a safe and the police swing by randomly to check where your guns are kept - they make sure they are in a secure location.

Along with all guns being registered / gun amnesty / buy back etc all happened with no big problem. However there isn't much of a gun culture over here.
Logistics would have to be bad too, considering all the open country you have there, new guns have to be registered, there is a waiting period before they can give you the gun and a background check. Most states require a gun safety course unless you have a DD214

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
