Cannabis has been used both as a medicine and recreationally for thousands of years.
It was unimaginable to me as a kid that cannabis would ever be legalized, yet today I can walk into any one of hundreds of clinics and purchase many varieties of cannabis which can be consumed in a variety of ways.
In my case, I dislike smoking anything, so I generally vaporize my cannabis or consume it in edible form.
While I grant you that there are many more people that likely consume cannabis for recreational rather than medicinal purposes, nonetheless many, many people, do use cannabis for medical purposes on a regular basis.
Try visiting a clinic firsthand and you will meet people there with a variety of ailments, that will testify honestly that their lives are improved as a result of being able to legally consume cannabis.
