This can give some indication, but it is more weak way to measure sales than most people think. So often you see girls there with no any tips for ages, then someone tips "1 token" which is 5 cents - this is even an offense to the girl. So why she keep online? Answer: I got some models in chaturbate and I can see some are there doing $5 or less per hour (despite naked all time etc.), which would suck. But, then they got that 1 or 2 bf's who come and suddendly drop $100 to $500 worth single tip bomb. Often, they do this as offline tip in bio page so no one can see it plotted, even you spy the girl all the time she's online. A lot of models stay online in a site just because a few, or even 1 only big guy, who alone tips $1000+ a month to her. Some models write in bio the top tippers list or put screenshots of biggest tips, take a look at this too. In myfreecams there's legendary tips worth $20,000 or so, it is a little like every model stay online for free or little tips, in the hope one day the big tip comes... like everyone buys lottery ticket as hears one guy won.

Yes I also find tokens very confusing, so we use plain dollars in our sites. A guy tips $10 and the girl get $5 and that's it and that's what we plot in pages

Really I think people use tokens simply because myfreecams used tokens and everyone just copy mfc, includes tokens, not even thinks at why. So the real question it is: why mfc used tokens? I think it is because of bulk discounts... you buy a package of tokens for cheaper... would look more strange to buy a package of dollars for less dollars than then package itself.
