The modern film is NOT a "remake" of "Nosferatu"! It is a fictional recounting of the filming of the original based on the idea that Max Shreck is actually a vampire, is NOT "superior" to the original, was NEVER intended to be "superior" to the original and stands quite alone as a masterpiece in and of itself.
