There was a completely obstructionist republican congress, whose stated top, #1 goal was denying Obama a 2nd term. Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell said this out loud. In front of TV cameras.
And please don't go to "Emperor Chocula had a supermajority for 2 years". For a number of reasons (including repub obstructionism), the dems had a supermajority for 7 weeks.

INHERITED the largest deficit in the history of the world. The day he was inagurated, he was saddled with a $1.4 Trillion deficit. The deficit has actually gone DOWN slightly during Obama's 1st term

While I believe a slowdown actually started late summer and a recession is coming, blaming Emperor O is incredibly simplistic. There's this thing called the Business Cycle which is far larger than any national economy.
Europe, our largest trading partner, is in recession. That means less demand for American goods. Not to mention, our middle and lower classes are already stretched to the bone. That means less demand for American goods.
Oh, and there was an obstructionist repub congress that torpedoed further stimulus initiatives
