I grew up with this stuff. I spent my summers growing up in native villages in Alaska. I spent my summers watching people drink, rape, shoot and stab each other all summer long. I watched an old man try to shoot his wife and kids right in front of me with a 12 gauge shotgun simply because he was drunk and snapped as they tend to do. I've got 1000 stories just like that. Later, I moved to Washington and surprise, surprise, same drunk, broke idiots with all the same stories and all the same excuses about how the "white man" made them what they were. In the meantime, those with brains leave and get their life together, get an education and build nice lives for themselves.
Go to any village in Alaska - whether its an Aleut village in the Aleutians or the most northern villages on the North Slope, ... the story is always the same. A bunch of drunks with nothing but excuses and non stop blather about culture, tradition and heritage as they walk out of their HUD financed home, get into their brand new bank financed Ford F150 and head to the supermarket as they babble about white man abusing them.
Guess what? Go to any reservation in Washington State... same exact shit. Poverty. Alcoholism. Drug abuse. Crime. They all blame white people for all their problems. No personal accountability... just excuses and blame.
I've seen and experienced enough alcoholism, drug abuse, violence and crime by natives in just my childhood alone to last me a lifetime. Unlike most, I am not posting about some fantasy based assumptions.
Does that mean 100% of these people are bad? Of course not. But their problems are many and their excuses are endless. Treating alcoholism and addiction begins with ones acceptance of the problem and personal accountability. However, the message by a misguided world is constantly "its not your fault", which ironically enables addiction and promotes the worst problems in these communities. In that respect, white people are to blame.
Alaska natives make very good money in most regions just for being an Alaskan Native (1/16th minimum). In addition to all the benefits, free medical care, education and so on, they also get paid. All the native groups are incorporated and they are largely the ones leasing land to oil companies, mining companies, lumber companies and so on. This money is divided in the communities. Coastal communities get a sizable chunk of Bering Sea fishing quotas for Pollock (worlds largest fishery), in spite of the fact that they never knew this fish existed until someone told them.
The net result of so much assistance is always the same. People become hobbled and mostly sit on their ass, collect checks, drink, fuck and do drugs.

I hope one day someone will build a golf course on the tombs of your ancestors

Uhmm.. Ok, I wouldn't know if it happened. Wouldn't care. I'll be dead. I do not have the massive ego most have. I dont need to be remembered, I don't need to remember. One day i'll be dust, as will those who I love. I will be forgotten in a matter of a few years and no monument will change that fact.
Besides, what am I supposed to believe? That human population numbers will remain stable in perpetuity and all land as its used today will remain the same in 2000 years? Cemeteries are moved and paved over all the time, so your point is moot.
And by the way, I understand and agree that those without status, respect or influence are never going to stop trying to gain status, influence and respect. I personally take great offense at being blamed for someones drug addiction, alcoholism, molesting their children or other criminal behavior. That's on the individual, not me.
