Well, you're right, I don't understand. I can agree with better support. I cannot agree with better hardware. And I cannot agree with worth the money because there is no way that better support is worth that much of a price increase to me.

I don't have a problem with Macs really, you guys just need to come up with better arguments or be willing to admit that you don't mind paying more money for a sexy machine, with better support.

In August I spent $2,500 on the following (no monitor):
i7-3960X CPU @ 3.30ghz
10 GB RAM
2 TB HD

What would a comparable Mac have run me?

And for the record, I spent about $8,000 on computer hardware last year, so I can afford a Mac just fine. I have had no problems either.
but that's with any computer system. it's always cheaper to get the ram and harddrive yourself. I always get the bare minimum for a system then upgrade it myself.
