Question about affiliate programs
This is probably a dumb question but what can it hurt. I'm still in the process of trying to get my site off the ground (smoking fetish microniche site) and, honestly, everything I need to do is already overwhelming me. I know that affiliate sales are a big part of this industry (or used to be) but the mechanics of setting up a proper one are just another task I don't have time to do right now.
So my dumb question: Has anyone ever heard of an established affiliate program 'taking on' a new paysite, that is handling all of the affiliate duties, for a site that they don't actually own? Does this question even make sense?
Basically I'm wondering if it's possible to 'farm out' the affiliate program in some fashion, let an established program take it over, make the galleries, etc. Or do the multi-site affiliate programs only handle sites that they personally oversee/own/produce for?
